Things We Do For Fun

These are really in no particular order, just fun things that we have done in the last little while!
-Asher and i went with my sisters family up to Oregon to visit some friends. on the way back we stopped and saw some of the huge redwood trees and also this little play tree house.

-Asher loves to help people, this is him helping grandma in the front yard with yard work

-We skated together as a family for the first time, asher actually did well and had some fun!!

-We have been to the sacramento zoo now

-We have a really fun train museum here in sacramento and we had a great time there and spent like 2hours at the place!

-on the cold or wet days you can usually find us at the indoor park at the mall

-Always fun to play with cousins, yup thats chess:)

For all of you who don't know, we didn't get the house we were hoping for, the bank decided out of no where to forclose on it. so we are in the house hunt again :( but its ok, hopefully we can find an even better home!!

Growing up

Some of you might know that i have started the potty training process with asher! We are on week three and things have been going pretty well (if you have any questions you can ask me on Facebook). Asher also started sleeping in his BIG BOY bed, we have since moved the pillows from the sides and he hasn't had a problem yet. He went trick or treating this time for the first time and really got the hang of it. he got lots of candy and really did love saying "trick or treat" at all the doors!! It sure seems like he is picking up on things like crazy these days, and we love it!!

Second time around

A year ago me and asher made this same trip to Texas at this same time! This second time was just as great!!

As you can see, asher has no fears of flying! He does awesome on the plane with no tears or sadness!!

And apparently it just wipes him out:)

If you haven't gone back in my blog to a year ago to see why we have made this same trip twice, well its because of these guys!! My brother was sealed to Stacey and her three children exactly a year after they were married!! Congrats to them!

This is the group that was able to make it. Jacquie and Dan and donnie and some of the little kids couldn't make it:(

Besides looking like donnie, we think asher looks a lot like his cousin Tyler, so i had to get a picture of the TWINS.

We were able to go to the Fort Worth zoo while we were there. It was really fun and lots and lots to see!

After everyone had left to go home, Asher, me and jeri and my mom went to a fun out door mall in town and had some fun. here is Asher with his aunt jeri who he had lots of fun with this trip!

Ashers favorite part of the out door mall was this water fountain, this picture was take AFTER he had already fallen in.

We had a little pre-celebration while we were in Texas. Asher is a champ at blowing out candles now and likes to do it over and over. This year there was no grabbing of the cake, but he did eat his whole piece .

-luke is about 7months older then asher, they miss each other!

=Donnie turned 25 on the 6th of sept. he is totally still a kid at heart, and his birthday presents will show that.

-he wanted these t-shirts awhile ago and i said no then, but gave in and got them for his birthday.

Before we get to all that Asher stuff, lets do an update on Donnie!!

Doesn't he look like a grown up now :) Yes that is a name tag with a security device on it and yes that is his own personal lap top that he was given to take to and from work!! Donnie's been doing well with his new job at HP. He had training for a little over two weeks and now has split off from the rest of the 6 people who were hired at the same time, into his group at HP. His title is Business Analyst.He technically is still training on what he personally will be doing at HP, i can say that he doesn't love it yet, but we are hoping that the more he understands the better it will become like most things in life!!

Hail KING Asher!! As you can see, asher still loves his blanket and often walks around just like this!!

No we haven't really started potty training. We are trying to get him use to the idea of sitting on the toilet and the verbiage that goes along with it so he can start knowing what it means when i say "do you want to try on the toilet... etc" We are happy to know that he is in no way afraid of sitting there and just pretending, he can sit there for like 10 mins and just loves it!!

Asher loves playing inside of all cars, so here he is in the MG nicknamed Lucy:)

This summer we have spent many days swimming or at splash parks. Asher loves the water as usual and he stood there with his cup and tried to fill it and dump it out over and over again!!

We have had many visitors this summer. These are just some of his cousins. 4 of them are from San Fran, and the other 4 are Robyns and they live down the street.

Don't I look just so fancy!! Carly and Annelise decided i looked just right to take a picture!

We are having a great summer, and are more and more thankful for donnie getting a job everyday, we realize more and more how lucky we just are!!

Has anyone seen these little guys? Asher just loves them, he brings us the remote so we can put it on for him, and if we try anything else he is not happy!! but i like the show, so for now its fine:)

This little boy man, he is picking up everything!! We went camping for the 4th of July with my family, and we did lots of fun things and had a great time with everyone. Asher learned to say "thank-you" FINALLY!!! we have been working on that one for a really really long time. so since we have been home for a little over a week he has begun repeating anything we tell him to say!! its seems like he just needed to figure out a how to put 2 words together and then he can do the rest. he now says SEE YA, BYE, LOVE YA, HELP PLEASE and JUICE, to go along with all the other words he already knows. like i said he will repeat just about anything we ask him to say but those ones aren't quite perfect ya, but the above ones are perfect!! its so fun to hear him actually put some words together now, its so cute!!

like i said, we went camping in july and due to that i actually lost my camera so all the cool pictures that were suppose to be on here for this past month have probably been deleted by some freak of a guy!! LAME

Asher is 20MONTHS!! I seriously can't believe how old he is getting!! Asher is so fun and loving and just all around great. As he gets older he can understand more and more (just about everything), but he also knows what he does and does NOT want to do. He has a few GREAT LOVES, the first being--- OUTSIDE, he loves to just run in the grass, swing on swings, play in water, move dirt, play in the mud all of the outdoor stuff he loves. His second love is--- ELECTRONICS, he can sit and just play dads iPod, PS3 or on the computer for hours. I have to admit that sometimes when he is screaming and not wanting to go to bed we give him my iPod in his bed so he is happy and then he falls asleep. His third love is--- Bath time, im not quite sure how long he would stay in there if i let him, but it would be awhile. His fourth love is--- COUSINS, he gets so excited to see his cousins and loves to laugh and play with them!! Now to the pictures

THREE YEARS

On JUNE 7 we reached the 3 YEAR mark of marriage!! I know we have lots to go and we are excited for the future, but we are doing pretty good at 3:)

For celebration we actually combined it with Donnie graduating. While we were still in Utah, we dropped Asher off at my brothers and went for 3days 2nights to sandy haha. i know its right down the street from Provo, but it felt forever away, it was nice to get out of the Provo bubble for a bit. So on our actual 3 YEARS we went to dinner and a movie. We saw this..

It was good. I like when movies go back and explain a few holes in the story!

Then for Donnie's present he got this album for his guitar.

I got this cool Nike pedometer that tracks distances, calories, times and talks to me as i run and still lets me play music through my iPod.

Where might it go you ask? In my shoes that i bought back in like Feb. When we bought the pedometer i was looking at it thinking it was pretty thick, so when they said to put it under my sole of my shoes i was a bit worried. Little did i know there was a hole pre-cut for it to go it!! Cool huh?!! I sure think so!!

So here's to us on 3 years, and we hope for many many more!!

Well big changes have occurred around these parts this last month, so here is a quick over view

1. Donnie graduating from UVU!!!

2. Us moving to Sacramento and living with his parents while we search for a job

Asher is 18 months today!!! i was so excited to put him in nursery, but these last two weeks we've tried to leave him in there alone with out either of us has not been going very well!! so lame! i swear if we would have done this a month or two ago he would have been just fine!!

Anyways, here's a few things he's been up to this month!

1. being so tired after a long morning of walking to stores and getting free hot dogs at RC Willies

2. loving that computer

3. riding on the long board with dad (when we have a few moments of nice weather)

4. Drinking the rest of the milk out of his cereal bowl

5. playing with bubbles

6. and more bubbles

7. being a happy helper with laundry

8. pushing around things outside

9. parks and slides and just being outside, oh and swings!!

i can't believe that the year and a half mark is approaching so soon!! it wouldn't be that big of a deal if i wasn't super excited to put him into nursery so we actually have Sundays back.

Asher has quite the personality, and loves to make us laugh. he also has become pretty dang attached to me except if i leave and am no where to be found, then he uses his brain and realizes that he can get other people to help him out and it doesn't have to be mom all the time!!:)

1. we took a trip down to California (pictures of that event coming soon), we didn't leave til about 3pm, this was me trying to keep him awake so he could nap in the car

3.this is my friend Angie trying to help me get a picture of Asher and the ducks. we went to feed them but Asher decided to eat the bread and not give it up. but needless to say he loved it and really likes animals.

I turned the big 26!! I'm not going to say it was hard to turn 26, but its just a little weird for some reason to be older then 25. I don't know why, but i liked to say that i was 25 much more then saying 26! but life goes on i suppose. So for my birthday we went up to Riverton to eat with my bro john and sis in law, Naomi at this wing place that was really good. and then we left Asher with them and headed to the Jazz game!! (thanks glen and Katie) It was so much fun! Donnie and I haven't been to a pro game in a really long time and never together!! We really enjoyed it!!

This month has been really fun and a little frustrating!! Asher is learning so much, and that is always fun. But the more he learns the more he knows what he wants and how to get it. Temper tantrums have defiantly become a part of our daily routine sadly!!

Asher has loved the little bit of warmth we have enjoyed. He is just in heaven when he can be outside!! He also loves the swings and its so funny to watch him on them. You'll have to see that in person to understand:)

He new favorite obsession is what you see in this picture, BLANKETS!! He almost always is finding them and pulling them around with him, or he is sitting and pulling them into his lap. its the cutest thing!

He rarely starts eating with out a spoon or fork in hand. He is getting pretty dang good about feeding himself!

He is such a climber!! Anything he can think of to climb, he is all over it!!

Then he totally has a sense of accomplishment.

Asher is totally 15 months today!! Only 3 more to go until nursery haha. He is such a fun little boy and watching him everyday learn something new is so awesome!! Some things he NEVER DID

1. Drool everywhere 2. go number 2 in the tub 3. never bit people

and now some things HE LOVES TO DO

1. Climb in everything he possible can 2. play games with his dad 3. eat 4. go out side

he has defiantly become more attached to his parents lately, he hates sitting still to get his diaper changed or getting dressed. he loves the bath still, going to the store where he can stand up in the back of the shopping cart and of course still loves to play with the controllers to dads PS3!!

Our Christmas break was awesome!! this is a long post with lots of pictures, but once you read this you will be caught up in our lives!! We did a lot of fun things there but some how we had lots of free time also!!( i was there from dec. 15- jan. 4th) anyways have fun, and hope you get through!

One day we made it down to the ranch that my uncle lives on. its about 700 acres, he has all sorts of animals including horses that we got to ride!! surprisingly Asher wasn't afraid to be on the horse at all! Donnie and a few other boys decided to be cowboys for about 2 hours. they went riding all over the 700acres and he absolutely loved it!! but he sure did pay for it the next day when he woke up to his back killing him. he said it was so worth it though!!

This is Asher at the ranch, he deciding to take it easy and just push a button to make him move instead of holding on for dear life and getting jostled around on a horse:)

Also for Christmas my parents gave all of us kids a day out while they watched all the kids. they paid for us to go play laser tag, whirrly ball (which is awesome, its a combination of basketball and field hockey in bumper cars), and for us to go out to eat and then to a movie!! this is us at the movies!! thanks mom and dad

We also went to a flight museum which was pretty cool!

But if you know anything about my family it is that we love to play games, mostly card games but a few board games do slip in there every once in awhile!! we probably played around 200 games and kept a tally sheet for the winners or each game. sadly my brother john won where i came in a close second!!

During the holidays there was a lot of this going on!

Also we had a talent show. Every family had to come with something prepared to share with the rest of us. it was an awesome night. this is my sisters family the Blumenkrantz's they sang a song and incorporated kazoos with it! me and Donnie added Jeri to our talent and did a skit where one might say we poked fun at everyone in the family with some inside jokes!!

Also there was a lot of this going on during the holidays. Julia is about 5 months and Asher loved to just talk to her especially while she was in the swing, its always so funny to watch them make each other laugh!

One night we did academy awards night where everyone brought a movie clip and then we all voted the clip into a category then we picked a winner at the end. we enjoyed delicious theater treats all night long also. this is Jeri winning for her clip the princess bride!!

Even during the holidays we couldn't get Asher's cell phone from him. this is how he spent quality time with grandma :)

Because it doesn't snow in Texas, kids were able to play outside, which is awesome for us adults!

No No Asher did not get beat up, this is how he looked one morning after his nap, its pretty funny. I'm surprised he didn't look like that all trip though with how many kids were in his face and the lack of sleep that was going on!

Grandpa and Asher had a special bond. they had lots of fun together this trip!

An awesome idea my mom had was to turn the garage into another room for kids to play in and even sleep in!! it was such a good idea and saved the house from being wrecked! (in the picture are- Asher, McKenzie, London, Baliey and Jeri (all nieces and then my sister)

good job if you made it all the way through!!

Christmas vacation

As many of you know we were able to spend our holidays with my family in Texas. I was lucky enough to go on DEC. 15Th and then Donnie came on the 24Th. we had lots of fun! i thought i would start this blog with Christmas week!

I made sure that Donnie came in before this big event that we do on the 24Th. For those who don't know we do a 7course meal with everyone!! its one of the highlights of the holidays for me. Everything is nicely set up and everything and then the food is just delicious!!

-this is my sister Jacquie and her husband Dan, they were Mary and Joseph in the play, and the baby Jesus is my Bros baby, baby Julia.

-just a picture to capture the craziness we had going on all the time!

-then the handsome Shepard's, these robes were made like 30 years ago for my dad and oldest brother.

Christmas morning with all the kids who were at the house. we are missing 2 families and one has 5 kids (we wouldn't have fit). And yes Jeri is still a kid :)

I think this is the first time i've ever put asher in overalls, and im not sure how i feel about it. sometimes i think they are cute on him and then other times i find my self wondering when we are going outside to do yard work:)

Either way he is cute, especially with his monkey!!

We were lucky enough to spend thanksgiving with my bros in-laws! it was really fun and there was tons of food. but this is how donnie spent most of the day!!

This is asher's new coat, and since its so cold outside he must wear it. I laugh every time we put him in it cause its hilarious how he can't put his arms down!!

Also notice the awesome moon-boots i got him!! He is ready for winter!

Past the Year Mark!!

Asher, Asher, Asher is now past a year old and we are loving it!!

There are plenty of nights where we all sit and play and end up having tears in our eyes from laughing so hard at him!! He is just so fun, energetic and happy.

THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ASHER

1. He has 10 teeth

2. He loves the bath still

3. He LOVES LOVES LOVES to try and walk everywhere, even if he falls

4. LOVES to play games with his parents for hours

5. loves to be outside, even in this cold weather

6. is such a social little guy. He loves playing with other kids

7. Still rocks out to his dads songs

8. loves to sit in his dad's arms and play video games

9. eats like a horse

10. jabbers all day long

11. pretends he is talking on the phone at least 10 times a day

12. is starting to feed himself with a fork/spoon

13. and last but not least LOVES watching videos of himself on facebook

WHAT YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR

He is one, one , one, one!!

I just can't believe that he is actually one. He is still just my little guy that i can't believe that time has gone by so fast! This is a big milestone for us, and i know that more will come, even bigger ones, but for now this is pretty massive!! I love this little guy so much, we are so thankful that he is in our lives! We really do consider it a blessing that he was sent to us. He makes us laugh every day and we couldn't ask for a better kid (so far that is:)

For Asher's birthday we had a party on the 16th. This is us setting up for it.

Lucas(he was to sad to be in the picture)- he was a skunk, Zakary-lobster, Asher-Mexican soccer player, Ezra- Dracula (he had the works, but he hated having it on)

I think Donnie was a little more excited to be at the party then Asher sadly.

We had the kids go trick-or-treating at our three doors that we have in our house. It was cute for the older kids!

He got a little scared when we sang happy birthday to him (though i have no idea why because first of all we practiced many times and we have already had a party for him once)

But this is him with his piece of cake that he really didn't eat for whatever reason.

THAT'S right I'm one!!!

I love this little guy so so so much, he is so fun and loving and just a joy to have in our lives!!

Texas fun

Me and Asher flew away to support my brothers wedding this past week, and no we don't have pictures of that, but we do have a few pictures of the other things we did!!!!!

These are my sister's kids Brock (yes the glasses are fake) and Kaprie, and no need to pay attention to what i look like in this picture!!!

Asher is starting to really like throwing balls around and then chasing after them and doing it all over again. hes really good at entertaining himself!!

We had a little Pre-birthday party for Asher with the family. this is my dad feeding him some cake, he was loving it!

One day we went to the Texas State fair and let me tell you, it is HUGE!! i wouldn't doubt that this fair is the biggest one in the entire world man!! this is just one of the many rides for kids that there were, and there were many for adults, also many shows to watch and a lot of food to eat!! I'm sad i didn't get a picture of many more things but this will have to do!

11 Months

I can't believe that my little guy is almost a year old! He is such a joy, i love it! As you can see climbing on things have become one of his favorite things!! He has become a pro at crawling, and i mean real crawling, none of this army crawling for him!! he also loves to walk around with someone holding his arms for support. he is go go go lately a little different then his previous months of living!!

We got some awesome shoes for Asher just the other day!! He actually likes to wear them, but this is his new favorite thing to do with them!

Most of the time i let Asher feed himself and some days he ends up looking like this when its all said and done!! gotta love it!

Asher loves loves loves computers (of course) and as you can see we only let him get so far, but his is loving life when he can even touch it. i love my two handsome boys especially when they play nice together hehe!

1. this is how Asher falls asleep these days!! He will sit up and cry and then end up falling asleep in this position.

Our friend Kathryn (the blonde) had her birthday, we all went to dinner!! it was a lot of fun!

9. Donnie's parents came up for the long labor day weekend!! we had lots of fun!

11.i babysat for a family friend for three days. they have 6 kids and i brought Asher with me, it was a bit challenging but a lot of fun. in this picture is their three youngest, Matson, Tessa, and Jenna. makes me excited for a big family one day!

10 MONTHS!!

He has been a busy little guy this last month!! As you can see from this photo he is starting to pull himself up. The laundry basket is perfect because his feet are a perfect distance to provide leverage to pull himself up. He just loves it!!

He still loves his walker even though we don't have very much room for him to roll around in it. There is a shelf in the kitchen that he can reach that i keep some paper on, and he loves to read it as you can see!

Some of us girls and kids went down to Thanksgiving point to see the animals. As you can see, Asher isn't a huge fan :) He is such a timid guy that this really bothered him.

Asher has been sick the past couple days, he has a runny noes and fever poor guy. This is the first time he has been sick in his little life, so im hoping that he gets better soon and doesn't get sick again for another 10months!

Before he got sick, he was getting really good and army crawling and just going everywhere. He really likes the kitchen floor since its cold. We are all doing well and loving our little family!!

We do call him lazy a lot cause he really won't crawl yet! He just whines until someone does his work for him!!

He loves the water!! We knew he loved baths but not until recently did we discover that he loves any water!! We go to a little swim park by our house and he enjoys every second of it!

He has this new obsession with trying to put anything he has in his hands over his head, as demonstrated below!

We really are enjoying this stage of life with Asher!! Besides teething its been a lot of fun! He is more vocal these days, and hates when mom or dad leave the room and let you know about it. 8 Old Months!!!

This is my beautiful cousin Celeste and her daughter Boston. Her and her husband Adam were so kind and let us stay with them while we vacationed in Vegas (they live there obviously). It sure makes it nice when you have someone to stay with that way you don't have to spend all your money on a stupid hotel! THANKS

We left Friday morning and stopped in St. George to have lunch at Wing Stop (which has the best wings!!) and also to see my friend Sarah and her new little daughter Avary. It was really fun to spend time with them. Donnie was a trooper and was really nice to just let us be there and talk. Friday around 2pm we were in Las Vegas. That night we went out to a place called the District where there are little shops and a live band playing and tons of people just hanging out. It was pretty fun.

This picture is of us Saturday morning getting ready for a long day on the Strip!!! We left around 12:30 and hit all the free cool things!

These are the Botanical Gardens, they have such pretty and so many flowers!!

This is in Caesars Palace. It was a little show with lights and some talking by the statues. It was pretty dumb, but the statues are pretty cool just to look at.

This is right outside one of the csinos and we made it right in time for a cool water show!! Don't i look so wonderful :/

After a long day of walking Celeste was kind enough to take Asher and watch him while we went to dinner and a show. We had dinner at Serendipity (like the show) and then we saw a show called the Mentalist. The guy preforming is named Gerry and the CBS show on tv is actually based on this guys life. So what he does is kind of amaze us by reading our minds and showing us things we couldn't believe. For example we wrote on a piece of paper before the show started our name, a special date to us and some questions we had. He then blindfolded himself (with some one inspecting of course) and then touched those papers and called names out and somehow got people in our audience and then proceeded to answer the questions on the paper. So things like that. It was pretty amazing and he was a funny guy.

After the show we got home around 10pm. We were pretty tired from all the walking we did that day!!

Sunday we went to church with Celeste and then went and visited my friends Tara, Jamison and Lee and there daughter Avery. It was really fun to fit everyone in!

We left Monday morning and made one more stop by Melanie's on our way home and then got home around 4. This picture is us on our way home!!

It was a really fun trip and im really happy we were able to go since Donnie only has school on Tuesdays and Thursday for just a week more in the summer!!

2 Years:)

Its true Donnie and I yes me Jennilee have been married for 2 YEARS!!! Its been 2 wonderful years!! A lot of people say that the first year of marriage is the hardest, but i don't agree, I think the second year was a bit harder. We have over come the second year and are still in LOVE and LAUGH EVERYDAY :) We plan to stay this way forever just in case you were wondering hehe!!

For our anniversary we are going to spend it in Vegas just having fun and I can't wait!! We already gave each other our presents awhile ago because we already had them. I got a long board which is great and it will be so fun for so long!! Donnie got his video game that he wanted and is enjoying every second he gets to play!!!

I am so grateful to be married to a wonderful man who is so good to me and Asher!! Thank you so much huzzy for going to school and working in order for us to have a better future!!

7 Huge Months!!!!

We have now made it longer then 6months its so great!!! He is just so happy to be alive and we are so happy to have him!! Here are 7 things Asher loves

1- Food- he is really liking his baby food with rice cereal, he might gag with everything else but he likes that!!

2- Machcoco- his monkey! He lights up every time he sees him!

3- Naps- he is a really good napper, and he has been doing really good at nights, like sleeping from 8ish to 5ish for a feeding and then we are back in bed til 8ish!!

4- Laughing/Smiling- he is almost always laughing or smiling! He will randomly laugh at himself, he is really funny!

5- Did i mention sleeping?!!

6- Bouncer- he has just bounced himself to sleep!! He really did fall asleep after bouncer for like 10mins:)

7- Rolling- Last but not least, rolling over!! As you will see in this video he hasn't quite mastered the art of rolling from back to stomach, but he has the other way!!!!! hooray its about time~!!

ps. he also really loves his mom and dad!! he gets so excited when we come back into the room after we have left, or playing peekaboo with him is really fun!

Family and Freinds

My second Brother John was able to baptize the oldest grandchild (his kid) Cody this past Saturday! My parents and youngest sister Jeri came up for the awesome event. It was a really good baptism and im glad Cody decided to get baptized!! Way to go Cody!!

Jeri came and hung out with us that evening and the next day while my parents went to my cousins reception in rexburg. This is Asher's first time eating something with his rice cereal (bananas). All of that food sitting on the table is what i get from WIC and that is only a 4th of what i get for the month for him. Good thing we are poor so we can qualify :)

My old roommate (bunkmate) Ashely came into town and i was able to see her and her daughter Madison for the first time. It was really fun, and its always good to catch up with old friends.

Madison is a champ when it comes to rolling over so we were trying to get her to teach asher. as you can see asher gave up and just laid down in defeat.

My grandpa Bergquist passed away a couple of weeks ago, and I really wanted to put some pictures up! This first one is of my dads entire family! All 9 kids were able to make it and then my grandma is in the wheel chair! Its pretty awesome to see all of them together and im sure it makes grandpa happy to see that they are all doing well.

This one is my family. We are missing Jacquie. She just got married and a new job so she wasn't able to make it out. Most of the in-laws are here, but this was suppose to be just an immediate family picture with grandma.

My Grandpa fought in world war 2 on the front lines. He was blessed by being obedient and was never hurt even though he was fighting right in the thick of it.

Two of my cousins were able to participate in this event. Bryan would have been able to also, but he was away doing some training.

Six Freaking Months!

Asher is seriously 6 months already!!! I seriously can't believe it! it really was just a little bit ago that he was a little guy (kind of)! He has really been a joy to have, he is a really good baby!! Now that he is 6 months he is loving his toes! I think its one of THE cutest things ever when he is playing with his toes. Donnie says that, that is the epitome of babies to him!

No he doesn't sleep with a pillow all the time. I was just trying it out because he hasn't been sleeping the best lately. I was trying to see if that helped him sleep on his side because that is how it SEEMS he would like to sleep. but in the end it didn't really help. so the pillow is out!

His first feeding!! He thinks that everything is sour!! We are going to keep trying though:)

He is sitting much better these days, and soon enough he will be pro at it!!!

Six months has gone by really fast!! To think that he is half way through a year is so crazy! We are glad to have him and love him to death!!

Scariest moment EVER!!

Oh my Goodness!!! So Friday night we come home from a friends house and Donnie and i sit and watch TV for a bit. Donnie decides to go to bed cause he has to work at 6am the next morning. I decide to stay up and wait for Asher to wake up so i can feed him and then go to bed FOR THE NIGHT. So i feed him at 10, then put him to bed in his pack n play (that is in the kitchen, so he can cry himself back to sleep in the middle of the night, cause he is almost 6months and should be sleeping for atleast a 6hour stretch in the night), so he is in bed and i crawl into mine with Donnie. A few minutes pass and i hear some noise and that's normal, but it just sounded awfully close to how our door sounds when you open and close it. But i tell myself that its probably the neighbors. Then the LIGHT in the front room turns on!! So i wake Donnie up and say "DONNIE SOMEONE IS IN OUR HOUSE" (he is still waking up, so he doesn't realize the situation), so i say again "DONNIE SOMEONE IS IN OUR HOUSE AND OUR BABY IS OUT THERE!!!" So he jumps out of bed (i follow behind him) and there is GUY standing in our front room!! (we are in our garments BTW) So Donnie says "Hey what are you doing?" the guys says "where is rick?" then i said in the meanest voice i have "YOU HAVE THE WRONG HOUSE!!!" the guy apologizes and walks out!!!
Can i just say that our hearts were racing so fast!! we really do think it was an honest mistake cause he left right away and they didn't linger a second longer outside even. So you might be thinking, well you better lock your door, but ours WAS LOCKED, it just wasn't pushed all the way closed!!! But everyone is safe and sound, and now we will never forget to push our door closed again!!

Easter

For Easter this year we went to SLC. Donnie has 2 aunts serving as sister missionaries there, so a bunch of us went to hang out with them and watch conference!! It was a lot of fun. The one holding asher is Aunt Amanda (the sweetes lady ever!!)

Did i mention that Donnies parents were here also?!! Well they were, and it was so much fun to have them here! This is Lina helping Asher find an egg!! Way to go kid!!:)

Also just to let you know Asher had his two month appointment, but it was really 2months and 18days appointment, and he is -14.8pounds (86th percentile) -24inches long (81st percentile) -only in the 45th percentile for his head. I sware if you look at the kid you wouldn't think he had a huge head but i would say it looks like it would be on the bigger side, but hey i'll take 45% cause hopefully he gets something from me and everyone knows that I have a tiny head!!

Nov. 17th-09

So little Asher is 4 weeks already, and in just 2 days he will be officially a month old!! He is super fun to be with all day. He makes pretty funny faces! He sleeps well at night. He usually goes to be around 11pm and then not up again until about 3am and then again around 6am, and then not again til 9. So really not bad at all, and the best part is that after he eats in the night he's pretty good about going back to bed without any problems. He’s great.

During the day he still just eats and sleeps, nothing to exciting happens, but he is so cute to just look at. I have to admit I hold him probably more hours out of the day then not, but my mom thinks a little baby can't be held too much, so hopefully that doesn't come back and bit me in the butt later, but considering he goes to bed at night pretty good I’m not to worried about it.

* So for those who don't know about the delivery, I’m going to give you a quick re-cap on all of that. So we went to hospital at 6:30am Monday the 19th of oct., they quickly got me ready to go and I was getting pitocin probably by 7am. The nurses came and checked on me all the time and thought I was ready to push around NOON, so they called the doc, and sure enough he said to start. So we did just that, and nothing went right. Little Asher was under distress, so we stopped that, and waited for the doctor to do anything. The doc showed up around 3 and we began again. Come to find out Asher's head was turned to the right, so that made it harder, and the fact that I have a small birth canal didn't help anything. So the Doc. tried to vacuum (suction cup) him out of me, and that was no good. So I was prepped to have a c-section, they brought in another doc, to help with that, and before I was wheeled away for that, the second doc. decided to look at me and give me a chance to do this with forceps. I had a 20% chance to doing that, and I said sure go for it. So we tried and a miracle happened!! Asher came at 5:05pm with a terrible looking head from the trauma he went through, but besides that, all was well!!!

I’m so happy everything really did go well and everyone was healthy. My recovery hasn't been super easy, but my body does heal quickly and I am doing great.

This past Sunday we all went to church for all 3 hours for the first time!!!

We have some good ones here, I would have to say that my favorite one is the one of him in his little tanning bed from when he was a bit yellow. He's fine now, but i think you can see a little of his yellowness in one of his pictures. I like it because his pumpkin hat is way too big for his head. These were taken by my mother-in-law when she was staying with us. I think he actually looks a bit like my nephew Cam in some pictures. But we're still trying to decide who he will take after. Hey all, Happy halloween, I have to work tonight so we had to celebrate last night with some friends, we all dresed up and had a good time. Jennilee and I were Mario and Luigi, and Ash was donkey kong. I made him a little donkey kong tie that he wears in the newer games. so i have a little fuzzy video that should work, if not, its okay nothing too special, so i also figured that nobody has seen him with his eyes open yet so here are a couple of him lookin around. he does that a lot, last night he was just looking around all quiet like for like an hour, it was awesome. he's becoming self aware. The only really funny things that he does are little smirks and rolling his eyes at us. when he does them in succession its hilarious. but thats all the fun he can muster for now.

In one of those pictures you can see me holding Ash on the couch, he's a bit jaundice so we have a tanning bed looking thing he lays on, and also a little hose with a light on the end, im using the hose one if you can see it underneath his blanket. The other ones are of him in his carseat having just come home from our first check of his jaundice levels. He's a cute one!

Happy Happy Diwali Children Dear....

This was Diwali, the Hindu celebration of Good's triumph over Evil. I found the place from a poster walking around at UVU, and thought it would be pretty sweet. It was in spanish fork, totally random. Notice that the cows are dressed better than me! Also, there were a ton of white people there and like 3 real nepalese. most of everything was done by white people dressed in saris and stuff. there was singing and dancing and there was this preist type guy dressed in a toga that would put like this gold goblet on your head and you could put the red dot on your forehead afterwards.
